Humans to Action

A front porch for folks who care.

This site is part of my answer.

I believe real change starts when folks come together, sharing what they know, learning from each other, and lending a hand when someone needs it. I’ve seen that spirit firsthand through years of grassroots action, town halls, and kitchen table conversations.

This site is a work in progress, just like our communities. Alongside it, I’m hosting drop-in coffee chats—casual gatherings where people can talk honestly and listen openly. It’s about starting conversations, not just campaigns.

We have so many tools now to communicate and organize, but the heart of democracy still lives where it always has: around the table, on the sidewalk, in someone’s front yard.

There’s a place for everyone in this work. You don’t have to run for office to make a difference. Looking out for your neighbors matters just as much.

I’m Sharon Wylie, a longtime resident and State Representative from Washington’s 49th Legislative District. For over 40 years and across three states, I’ve worked in community and political spaces, sometimes as a legislator, always as a neighbor.

“What can I do?”
To feel empowered.
To speak up.
To show up for others.

Let’s figure things out together.

Let’s be good to each other.

Be Part Of The Conversation...

At Humans to Action’s Saturday coffee meetups, we dive into real issues that shape our lives.

Social Security, immigration, public safety, food insecurity, and housing. These aren’t lectures; they’re dynamic, respectful conversations where lived experience meets practical ideas.

We explore policies, share stories, and challenge assumptions. Whether you're deeply informed or just starting to engage, your perspective adds value. And we’re always open to new topics, if it matters to you, it matters to us. These gatherings are about building understanding, sparking action, and creating a space where community voices lead the way. Come curious, leave inspired.
